Today is Sunday here in New Zealand and i realize some of you are still doing the Saturday thing buts its Sunday here LOL.

I have had a good past few days here with a few walks and a GYM visit just to keep me semi active.

On Friday for Lunchy wunchy we had Sushi which was pretty yummy, here is my serving which i ate all up.

Morning Wood 🌭🤔🤣🪵🪓

So with my Firepit i have just been buying bags of Firewood which is quite expensive, plus some of the wood you get is average at best.

Yesterday i looked online ad found a local guy who does a full ute load for $120, and its GUM wood which should last longer than what i have been using.

See how clean my windows are?

Here is my delivery on the left and my trusty wheelbarrow ready to go.

This is were i store my firewood which is under the Arch Gola, its looking pretty full now.

The load of wood itself was bigger than i was expecting which is a bonus.

I had to find another location to stack the overflow i have, plus i still have a full wheelbarrow so i am thinking this wood could last me a while.

I have just spent the last hour hauling and stacking the wood, now all i want to do is light the Firepit buts it' only lunchtime here.

But Tonight it's on!

😮

LOL...not sure what i am trying to say there.

But thank you for reading my post :)

That’s some sweet wood, so beautifully chopped. Lucky the truck delivered equal length pieces otherwise your storage would look a mess. Instead, it’s like a piece of art in its own right.

Hey
Yep fuckin great wood, as for the stack my OCD tells me it could look more organized🤔 LOL.

Even though it Monday night i still started up the firepit - here is a video i just took

What kind of wood it is, we try birch last year, but it burns quite quick and not very hot, this year, we ordered oak it is burning for longer and hope we will have enough for the whole winter time.

This load i got is Gum, it burns really nice and crackles & pops as it burns.

Now i want to try oak after reading your comment.

I just read that it burns almost smokeless and also belongs to hardwood, interesting we do not have much of it here.

Yes, try oak, is it easy to get in NZ?

I am not sure but i am going to have a look online today.

Have a great day over there :)

It sounds like you've had a really productive and fun weekend! Between hitting the gym, going for walks, and handling all that firewood, you're definitely staying active. That sushi lunch sounds great, and it looks like you’ve stocked up nicely for some cozy firepit evenings with that big load of GUM wood—way better than the expensive bags! Clean windows and a full firewood supply, you're all set for those chilly nights.

Enjoy your evening around the firepit tonight! It's the perfect reward after hauling all that wood.🔥🌲

Yep pretty busy weekend here, had the firepit going last night 🔥

Thanks for stopping by

We also use firewood but I have never prepared it beforehand.
I had a lazy Sunday. I spent it in bed. Just got diagnosed with Arthritis.
