A Black Cat | David Lynch | Reflections

in hive-185836 •  17 days ago

The mind is a wonderous thing.

Yesterday I was watching on the news about David Lynch passing away, R.I.P.

Some of his artistic incarnations... I loved so much.

Not just as a writer and director, but as an actor too. Just one word...

Brilliant!

He was definitely out of time and space, in the positive way.

And somehow, speaking of minds, this black stray cat reminded me of a quote from one of his interviews I watched on the national TV here, that darkness isn't scary, it's just lack of light.

So let's bring more light.

Let's bring more black cats too! :)

Yes, this person definitely lived in some other time and space. I for one thought about what happened in Twin Peaks, I was a student when this series became so popular, there were even two books that were immediately released and flooded the market back then. Who published them, who even wrote them, I have no idea about those troubled times, but there were certainly enterprising people back then who took advantage of every opportunity to make money when, after the fall of the Iron Curtain, everything was so new and interesting to us ordinary people... But the thing is, I don't even remember how this famous series ended, waited and watched with such trepidation and fear. 😄
Anyway, capturing this cat in action is the equivalent of a real movie. Maybe more Hitchcockian, but the idea is brilliant, really. Cats are always such interesting creatures, especially the black ones, and especially the street black ones, and they're always up to some super interesting things, like tracking and chasing peaceful pigeons, for example. 🐈‍⬛🕊️😹
Thanks for the wonderful show!

Thank you :)
Yes, this series was something back then and when I watched the new season, just a few years back, if I recall, it was big...

Perhaps you have that Hitchcockian feeling due to the black color of the cat.

Just looks like absence of light, right? :)

It's actually because of the birds. 😄 Where I see birds, I think of Hitchcock. Although it's about 'good' birds here, but who knows, the poles can always shift and everything can turn upside down at any moment, as it often does in this messed up world.
I don't remember watching the new series. Especially recently. And if I watched it and I don't remember anything, because I really don't remember anything, then I must not have been impressed by it at all. But the mystery of the first season was definitely something...

True, we should always expect everything from Mother Nature :)))

Even more true with people, right...

🍀♥️
