WOX: Who am I and why did I choose this community?

Greetings! :)

I know some of you know me well already, as I have posted many times in the World of XPilar :)

For the rest of you, here is a short bio... My name is Damian, a.k.a. LightCaptured and I'm a visual artist / professional photographer and recently a crypto-explorer. After chasing a career in the IT sector for more than 15 years, back in 2013 I decided to make my life happier and simpler by devoting myself to photography. I enjoy photographing many things, I love travel photography, making portraits and covering interesting events. I am also a stock photographer.
I have Master of Sciences degree in Nuclear Power Engineering, I write from time to time, mostly my travel stories and am a guitar player, my favorite types of music are jazz and rock, sometimes chill-out when there’s more on my plate.
I love driving, I calculated my mileage recently and it appears I’ve been to the Moon and back about 3 times already!
I live in Bulgaria, currently mostly processing my pictures from the several travels I had before the pandemic, mostly in the old and beautiful Europe. I used to travel a lot; travel photography is a passion of mine as you already know.

I've been feeling a bit blue lately, so this affects the set of photos I am about to share with you today :)

I've traveled to amazing places indeed, as you will see, I even visited a secret underground astronaut training facility!

I've chased the Northern Lights, the mighty Aurora Borealis. I once passed under a huge waterfall in Iceland!

Why did I choose the World of XPilar Community? There are several reasons for that, here as some of them:

• WOX is one of the most, probably THE most active community on the STEEM blockchain.
• WOX is a community that really cares about art and the Photography, as the Eight Art is something that has been ruling, motivating, inspiring and driving my life in the last decade or so.
• There are amazing people at WOX, people who devote their time everyday to develop the community, let me mention some of those great persons, pardon me if I miss anyone who also contributes a lot. @axeman, I think the only professional photographer, who runs art contests on a daily basis in the community. @art-venture and @stef1, who constantly curate and support artists in a great way. @bambuka, an artist who is not afraid to modify old and interesting lenses and attach them to new cameras; there are also at least few dozens of great artists who post daily. Of course, last but not least, the @xpilar investors who are the engine behind the community!
• The community activities I like the most are, of course, the Art Contests and the Magazines published frequently. I also like that the community develops and is coming out with new incentives.
