I'm coming back

and now forever.

It is enough to say this and follow the commitments to make it happen, so I decided to do so.

A lot has changed in my attitude to my favorite activity - photography. I finally started taking photos with manual settings and began to apply radical photo processing, which I always resisted, believing that if the frame did not turn out right away, then place it in the trash. So I was brought up by the masters when I took pictures on film.

These are the first shots that were successful in a low key. I did not expect that it could turn out so beautifully and I can't even believe that my old friend Konika Minolta could do it with her three megapixels, which, apart from the auto mode, was not used in any way for many years and I thought about her that she was not able to compare with the transmission of red color at all.

These shots were taken only by my eye and the camera.
No additional processing was applied in the editor.

I would be interested to know your opinion about the submitted photos, whatever it may be.
I may be mistaken, being in a triumphant euphoria )

photos with manual settings and began to apply radical photo processing

I realized that these photos were taken without post-processing. I am wondering if the manual mode was applied or if it was automatic camera settings.

I liked the red in the low-key. It reminded me of some of the fruit still lifes of the old masters of painting :)

Probably, from the text of the post it is not quite clear that these are my first photos from this camera, where I applied manual settings and was surprised by the result.

They were made in October 2020, and until that day, everything I have was shot in auto modes.

I’m sorry, I probably didn’t understand the text correctly.
Yes, if you were shooting in automatic mode, the picture would most likely be much lighter and the red color would not be so convincing :-)

The red one that Minolta makes in auto modes can't be shown to anyone at all, so I tried to avoid it in every possible way. It was almost taboo for many years.

If I use a camera, I always shoot in manual mode. Recently I have been using manual lenses mostly. I like to be in control of the entire filming process.
Autofocus periodically makes mistakes, and automatic modes ... she does as she was told, but I want it differently :-))

I don't like reading volumes of manuals. But one day I accidentally came across this possibility in manual mode and now I'm studying other ones. Using the poke method )

this method is rich in results :)

It's great that you decided to come back! I'm also trying to shoot in manual mode now, and I hope I could use your help in this matter)

Don't hesitate to ask. What we know, we will always tell you ) Thanks.
