Steemit Engagement Challenge WOX Community S10W3: Architectural Photography: one Building, disappearing

It is difficult for me to photograph architecture, because this business requires certain skills and, in addition, a lot of work with the resulting photos to correct the shortcomings of lens distortions and builders, but sometimes I still do it.

Once I managed to capture the demise of the house-quarter in Zoologicheskii Lane, built in 1881-1883 by architect I.N. Iors.

When this house was fenced and covered with a construction grid, I was sure that it was done for repair, since the house is of historical and architectural value, and therefore I did not find the phase of the beginning of its complete destruction. I don't have a single photo of what he was like, and all my feelings about this sad event are preserved in these photos.

Currently, a very similar house has been built there, with the same facades, with copies of these caryatids and other decorative elements, but it is painted in a different color, supplemented with modern architectural details and all this does not warm either the eyes or the soul at all. A new home for those who don't know what it used to be.
