Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Bike Path | Richmond.CA

Connecting the city of Richmond and San Rafael is a bridge at Interstate 580, is known as Richmond-San Rafael bridge. This bridge is not only for commuters/drivers, but also offering everyone who has an interest in biking, jogging or walking. It's a long walk certainly for 5.5 miles and roughly 11 miles round trip, but it has the most serenity and beauty once you get to the middle of the bridge.

The bridge itself has two decks, the top deck of the bridge will bring commuters to San Quentin and the bottom deck will bring commuters to Richmond. Guess where the bike path is at? yes it's at the top deck. Even though biking next to a busy highway, it's very safe with concrete barriers along the way.
There were almost nobody during the weekday and we had the whole trail for ourselves, but it's super windy, tiring from riding up at the elevation even though not that much.
