Sussana and the Path of Oblivion

What's up my people, I'm glad you are here and welcome to a new artwork for my blog, today I want to introduce you to Sussana and the Path of Oblivion. Sussana is a character that I decided to create to illustrate my work and is a pretty blonde girl, which can be seen in his eyes that is going through a hard and difficult time in his life, something goes through his mind that does not leave her calm, and therefore wanders or walks along a lonely path of trees in search of that serenity or peace that she needs so much:

I started with my drawing with the idea of creating Sussana's character in a way that reflected very well that feeling of (melancholy), not only in her face, but also in her body language; that's why I drew her with her hands sheltered inside the pockets of her panties and in a perspective as if she was walking; finally I achieved it and then I could start to outline everything very well, so later I could start with the coloring.

At the beginning I started applying very sandy-brown colors for the creation of volume in the skin, this took me a long time, because the first base I made did not like it very much and then I decided to redo it and there I achieved a texture and volume in the face that I liked the most. After finishing the skin I went to the clothing section, here I had clear that I wanted to make a Jeans style panty, but the colors I had in my color palette were not the right ones; I was trying for a while until I decided to paint the inner part (Sweater) of a Vinotinto color that would contrast better with the panty, also to the panty I lightened a little the shade and I added some texture of jeans.

The next step was the painting of the eyes, for this I had clear that they would be a striking blue color, so what I did was to start detailing slightly the iris with airbrush, then I used a thin and small brush to create the strands or internal lines of the iris; with the lips I made use of several similar brushes and blurred a little more to achieve softness in them. The hair was a bit simpler, I decided to go for blonde tones and used a pale yellow and built the strands and locks of hair in a slightly wavy and downward way; letting some of them fall on the shoulders.

Finally, I only dedicated myself to create the painting of the scenery of my drawing with great care, I took my time for the painting of the trees and I had to make use of 3 or 4 different brushes for the wood texture; then thanks to a brush with a Sai leaf tip I could paint the leaves of the trees more easily, then I only had to create little by little shadows, glows and above all details of realism to each section of the trees.
