Just a few days ago, many of us were blessed to celebrate Christmas, a date full of symbolism because it signifies the birth of Jesus, but it also represents a time of peace, reflection and family reunion, which is why it has become so popular in many parts of the world, regardless of their religious beliefs.
It is said to be the most beautiful time of the year, because it is customary to decorate the streets, public spaces and homes with motifs that reflect the joy that fills the hearts of the inhabitants, from the largest and most populated cities to the smallest and most remote villages around the world.
Undoubtedly, children look forward to this date, to open their gifts, in some homes in abundant quantities, and in others, unfortunately for various circumstances, few, but still, it represents the magic of Christmas.
In Venezuela we usually celebrate the night of the 24th with the Christmas Eve Dinner, where the undisputed protagonist of our table is the hallaca, a corn flour cake colored with onoto, which is cooked in boiling water wrapped in banana leaves and stuffed with stew based on beef, chicken and pork, plus vegetables, capers, olives, raisins and a host of ingredients that vary according to each region of our geography.
On this occasion, I want to share with everyone, some pictures I have taken since the beginning of the Christmas festivities until last Christmas Eve dinner.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.

Hace apenas unos días atrás, muchos tuvimos la bendición de celebrar la Navidad, una fecha cargada de mucho simbolismo por cuanto significa el nacimiento de Jesús, pero también representa un tiempo de paz, de reflexión y de reencuentro familiar, por lo que ha adquirido gran auge y popularidad en muchas partes del mundo, independientemente de sus creencias religiosas.
Se dice que es la época más bella del año, porque se acostumbra a decorar las calles, espacios públicos y hogares con motivos que reflejan la alegría que embarga a los corazones de los habitantes, desde las más grandes y pobladas urbes citadinas hasta los más pequeños y remotos poblados del mundo entero.
Indudablemente, los niños esperan con ansias esta fecha, para abrir sus obsequios, en algunos hogares en abundantes cantidades, y en otros, lamentablemente por diversas circunstancias, pocos, pero aún así, representa la magia de la Navidad.
En Venezuela solemos celebrar la noche del 24 con la Cena de Nochebuena, donde la protagonista indiscutible de nuestra mesa es la hallaca, un pastel de harina de maíz coloreado con onoto, que se coce en agua hirviendo envuelto en hojas de plátano y relleno con guiso a base de carnes de res, pollo y cerdo, además de vegetales, alcaparras, aceitunas, uvas pasas y un sinfín de ingredientes que varían de acuerdo a cada región de nuestra geografía.
En esta ocasión, quiero compartir con todos, algunas fotografías que he tomado desde el inicio de las festividades navideñas hasta la cena de la pasada Nochebuena.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir la imagen original a mi entera satisfacción.
