"The simplest things are often the truest."

Photo Contest: Post Processing #18 [ENG/ESP]
Minimalism is a philosophy, a way of life based on simplicity, on simplicity, where "less is more", that is, using the basics to live and dispensing with the rest.
In art, and in photography in particular, minimalism is to use as few as possible in the graphic composition, where a single element predominates and is the focus of attention, while eliminating everything that visually distracts the viewer.
In this technique any object can be photographed, from those of daily use that we can find in any house, to a huge mountain or an infinite valley; the important thing is to take into account those elements of minimalist photography, such as flat backgrounds or devoid of as many objects, bright or contrasting colors, or even black and white images, lines, either straight or curved, and finally, the geometric figures, being able to use any, as long as it meets the objectives set.
For this new initiative by @bambuka from the World of Xpilar Community, all participants are asked to take or choose their own photo of an object that we may have in our home, as long as it complies with the parameters of minimalism described above.
In this sense, I looked for simple and easily recognizable objects that I could photograph on a flat or unicolor background, preferably white or some light shade, but at this point, I found myself with the problem that most of the surfaces of my apartment are dark or have different shades, plus the natural light is distributed unevenly within my home, so I was forced to improvise a photographic studio in the living room.
I selected a reddish-colored pen to photograph, after discarding other objects with which I did not get the result I had in mind. I placed white sheets of paper on a wooden table to serve as a background for the image, and there I placed the pen.
From the different photos I took, I decided to choose the image above, however, it is possible to observe some elements left over in the background, so I had to resort to the Picsart application to eliminate them and leave only the pen in the central part as the only element of my composition.
The procedure I used was the following: I selected a rectangle in the white background and copied it to paste it in the upper part of the photo, then I cropped it and in Snapseed, I adjusted the parameters of light, brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness, among others, to obtain the image below as the final result.
Personally, I was very pleased with this week's assignment, I had never taken minimalist photographs before, and the processing of the original image allowed me to become even more familiar with the editing tools I usually use, besides knowing the parameters that characterize minimalism and how they can be applied to photography.
Finally, in the photograph I obtained, the selected object (pen) is the only element present in the composition, standing out on a monochromatic background of grayish tonality, where it is not possible to distinguish at first sight the support surface, except for the small shadow that is projected on the white sheet of paper, so it gives the sensation of being suspended or levitating.

I feel like it's time for me to change my old pen :)
However, I almost forgot when I used it... keyboard, touch the screen with your finger... I want to have a quill pen and ink, do you have them?
