The laces of silence... Look, night falls!
Distant mists from the Land of the Vague...
Velvets undulating... Enchanted mystery...
Allurement... The hour that one never forgets,
The light that slowly fades,
That casts upon me the blessing of a caress...
Autumn of golden twilights,
Of purples, damasks, and brocades!
You dress the whole earth in splendor!
Autumn of silent evenings,
Of magnificent voluptuous nights
In which I sob, delirious with love...
