Steemit is a blockchain-based social media platform that allows users to create and monetize content. Users earn cryptocurrency for their posts and comments through the STEEM token. Over time, several apps and tools have emerged that integrate with Steemit or use its blockchain, Steem, to offer additional features. Below are some of the most popular ones and those that are still working, but most have either stopped working or have gone over to the dark side of the force (Hive).

1. SteemConnect

• An authentication tool that allows users to log into various apps and services based on the Steem blockchain using their Steemit credentials. It makes it easy to integrate third parties with the platform. But it's stopped working, too bad

2. Busy.org

• An alternative to the official Steemit interface. It works as a front-end that uses the Steem blockchain to display content, but with a more polished user experience and some additional features, such as rewards for sharing content. It's also stopped working

3. eSteem

• A mobile (iOS and Android) and desktop app that allows users to post content and manage their Steemit account. eSteem has several additional features, such as notifications and a more integrated rewards system. It's out of action too

4. DTube

• Decentralized video platform similar to YouTube, but running on the Steem blockchain. Users can earn cryptocurrency rewards for watching, sharing, and uploading videos. It's still alive but I don't trust it anymore, here's the link

5. SteemPeak

• An alternative front-end to Steemit that offers an improved user experience. It allows for better vote management, post scheduling, and has advanced features for more experienced Steemit users. This one has gone over to the dark side of the force

6. Steemit Wallet

• Although not a separate tool, the Steemit Wallet allows users to manage their STEEM and SBD (Steem Dollars) cryptocurrencies, including transferring funds and converting between the two currencies.

7. SteemWorld

• A tool that provides detailed analysis of user activity on the Steem blockchain. It allows you to see statistics, account balance, recent transactions, among other data. This one is still in use but I'm seeing things I don't like, like directing you to another page in Russian to enter your keys and passwords

8. Vessel

• A desktop client to securely manage your Steemit keys and make transactions on the Steem blockchain. Gone like the wind

9. Steem Engine

• An ecosystem that allows you to create and trade Steem-based tokens. This platform has been key to the development of other projects based on the Steem blockchain, such as communities and games. This one was removed from the middle because no one used it when the tokens went to the dark side of the force

10. Splinterlands

• A collectible card game that uses the Steem blockchain (now Hive), where players can earn cryptocurrency and own unique digital assets.

These tools and applications enrich the experience of Steemit users, providing additional ways to interact with the Steem blockchain and earn rewards for their content. And as you can see, there are many that have stopped working or are of dubious use.
