When we talk about immunization, we imagine vaccination during 2020, which is the period of the spread of the corona virus. The government takes prevention in various ways, one of which is vaccination. Seeing the echo of what was done at that time, made people a little traumatized. So when immunization is a long-term program intended for children up to age. For various reasons, people refuse to be immunized. This is what happened at the elementary school where I worked as an educator.

Even though the socialization had been carried out the day before and the school had also written a letter of approval from the parents. Many parents refuse to have their daughters immunized even though this is very important. Especially those related to reproductive problems in women. Which sometimes leads to death during childbirth.

Realizing how important immunization is for students, we at the school only recommend it and of course work together with health workers to socialize that immunization is very important for children aged 11-12 years. Of course, this cannot be separated from the government program to reduce mortality when women give birth.

Whatever the story, parents have full responsibility for their children, we can only provide advice in accordance with our function. The health worker will follow up, if the parents agree.
