Dalam dunia Fotografi Landscape terutama di Indonesia, ada sebuah fenomena yang sangat di Nantikan, sebuah momen yang jarang terjadi namun hampir selalu menjadikan sebuah foto landscape baik itu Sunset, Sunrise, ataupun daylight menjadi spesial.

Fenomena itu di kenal di kalangan Komunitas fotografi di Indonesia sebagai Fenomena awan "Bulu Domba". Atau dalam bahasa Ilmiah dikenal dengan Awan Cirrocumulus dan Cirrostratus. Fenomena awan yang berbentuk menyerupai bulu domba, atau sisik ikan, ataupun Totol Putih terputus-putus. Fenomena awan ini special karena ketika awan ini terkena cahaya matahari terbenam atau terbit akan menimbulkan warna yang sangat Indah, Merah Jingga menyala.

Selama saya berkecimpung di dunia fotografi landscape, kondisi ini sangat jarang terjadi, karena kondisi kadang tidak bisa di prediksi kapan awan ini akan muncul. Seringkali ketika awan ini terbentuk di siang hari, awan ini tidak bertahan sampai Sunset tiba. Dan kondisi Idealnya juga sangat bergantung pada kondisi Horizon Matahari, apakah tertutup awan mendung atau tidak. Namun pada kondisi Idealnya, Langit akan menyala dengan warna yang sangat indah di segala penjuru dimana awan ini berada.

Inilah alasannya mengapa awan ini kami katakan sangat special. Ketika awan ini terbentuk saya biasanya akan mencari sebuah lokasi yang cocok dengan kondisi ini. Biasanya komposisi Refleksi yang menonjol bentuk awan dan warna langit..seperti dalam foto berikut;

In the world of Landscape Photography, especially in Indonesia, there is a phenomenon that is much anticipated, a moment that rarely occurs but almost always makes a landscape photo, be it sunset, sunrise or daylight, special.

This phenomenon is known among the photography community in Indonesia as the "Sheep's Feather" cloud phenomenon. Or in scientific language known as Cirrocumulus and Cirrostratus Clouds. The phenomenon of clouds shaped like sheep's wool, or fish scales, or intermittent white spots. This cloud phenomenon is special because when these clouds are exposed to the light of the setting or rising sun, they produce a very beautiful color, bright red and orange.

As long as I have been involved in the world of landscape photography, this condition has rarely occurred, because conditions sometimes cannot be predicted when these clouds will appear. Often when these clouds form during the day, they don't last until sunset arrives. And ideal conditions also really depend on the condition of the Sun Horizon, whether it is covered by clouds or not. However, in ideal conditions, the sky will light up with very beautiful colors in all directions where these clouds are.

This is the reason why we say this cloud is very special. When these clouds form I will usually look for a location that suits these conditions. Usually reflection compositions that highlight the shape of the clouds and the color of the sky... as in the following photo;
