Night Photography and Milky-way photography is the other Genre that i really love doing, although it's really hard to find the perfect place with no light pollution, we always have to find somewhere far from the city to get what we really want, the Sky full of stars and Milky-way on naked eye. Don't worry if you can't see it, used stars map app to find the perfect time and where the Milky-way is located

For this photo i was company by 2 of my Friends who also a photographer. We choose Stone Forrest Park in Maros, South Sulawesi Indonesia. There are so many composition we can try to work with in this location. And also it pitch black, a bit scary place like in horror movie but perfect place for milky-way photography.

The hardest part of Photographing The Star for me is to find where to Focus. It's really hard when you using an old gear like i do. Sometimes i can't tell the difference between star and noise pixel on screen. Well newer camera have superiority do this easily. And also I must be creative to "Conquer" the Noise and dead pixel when shooting at high ISO. Again The newer camera have more useable ISO then Old Camera.

Don't Forget to Bring Flash Light the powerful one, Smartphone flash is not enough. And If you don't have Foreground make sure your friends is willing to do the "honor" to Be in-frame but make sure he or she can stand still without moving for minimal 30'. 😂😂 Or if you lazy just take the frame and Blend in Post-Process

The Next Step to Do is Post process. Sometimes i can workout with only single RAW file. But for some chase when i want to include foreground to the frame i need to blend Several Frame in one, and do the focus Stacks or Exposure Blend when the foreground scene is too bright or to close. I used Lightroom Mobile and Snapseed For Editing, but Doing it using LR + PS on Laptop or PC will guarantee the best results.
what do you think guys, tell me on the comments below.

"...but make sure he or she can stand still without moving for minimal 30"."

In 30 minutes you will get not stars, but traces of stars in the sky)))
Or do you shoot the foreground separately? But then for a long exposure, you don't need a flash, but a lamp... something I'm completely confused))

Excellent result. Especially since you're talking about an old camera.
There is no place near me where there is no parasitic lighting.
And this kind of shooting attracts me very much)

Ups sorry i mean for 30 seconds wrong push ,😂😂
For this photo i don't do blending just single exposure.
In my "light the stars" you can see there is light pollution in lower part of the sky.. i can imagine how hard for you to find place with no light pollution. I have friends who tried to used upside down GND filter for lower part of the sky and it's really work. But i'm not sure it will work for you too.

By dimming the light pollution with a gradient filter, you will also dim the stars in that part of the photo. But if you filter out the color spectrum of light pollution or change the white balance in this part... however, these are just my assumptions))
