In 1807, Rabindranath's grandfather Prince Dwarkanath Tagore got the house under the will of Ramlochan Tagore. Ravi's footsteps came here after the zamidari care. At one time the Tagore house started to suffer from the erosion of Padma. Then the construction of the new Kuthi house started with the old Kuthibari equipment. Then from 1891 to 1901 For more than a decade Rabindranath came here at irregular intervals to look after his estate. Rabindranath Tagore is an unforgettable name of the Asian continent. He is known all over the world. Domestic and foreign tourists visit this cottage of Rabindranath Tagore for almost the whole year. Because Rabindranath is a Nobel-winning poet. He is called a world poet in our country. The cottage stands on about 11 acres of land. Surrounding it are two ponds with mango, jum, jackfruit and other evergreens and various flowering plants. The entire house is surrounded by a wall. One has to cross a simple yet attractive entrance arch on the south side to enter. It has 15 rooms including a large central hall on the ground floor and second floor. Surprisingly, each room is almost identical in structure. The open balconies of the ground floor and second floor are partially covered by sloping roofs made of Raniganj tiles. The upper middle part of the ground floor has a sloping roof with triangular edges. The pyramid shaped roof above the second floor makes the building more diverse. Also there are many roads in the quadrangle of the house. Through which horses go around the house. On the sides of the road there are gardens of various kinds of flowers. There are two ponds with stepped ghats beside them. Tourists sit here and enjoy. Next to the pond there is a hermitage where some people perform music.
Sits with a musical instrument. If a tourist wants to listen to Rabindra Sangeet by paying some money, then they play music.
Rabindra Kuthibari is one of the tourist centers in Bangladesh. Foreigners also come here regularly. If you want, you can also visit here. And yes, right next to it is the Akhra of the world famous creator of bowl art, Lalon Shah. You can also visit there.
