My City In 10 Photos: Kalush, Ukraine

Hi to all! I had planned to write such a post for a long time, but I didn't have enough time :)

I live in the city of Kalush in western Ukraine. The city's population is 66,000. As you can see, the city is not big. And that's great.

I did not have the opportunity to travel around the city to photograph the most picturesque places. But my family and I took a walk downtown. I suggest you see what it looks like.

This year marks the 622nd anniversary of the first written mention of the city of Kalush. That's why we come across ancient buildings along the way. The first is the theater building, which now belongs to the local College of Culture and Arts:

A few years ago there was a strong fire here, after which the building was in a deplorable condition for some time. I already thought that it would not be restored, because it required a lot of money and professional restoration work. However, now the building is brand new.

Just opposite is a small area where young people like to gather:

In the center of this square is a monument to one of the most prominent poets and artists of Ukraine Taras Shevchenko:

Going a little further we see the Church of St. Valentine:

During the Soviet occupation, it was turned into a warehouse and then a gym. When Ukraine became an independent state, the church was restored and now it delights us with its beauty.

Next we see the city council building:

And this is the same building up close:

We go to the path that leads to the central square of the city:

There are always a lot of people here. In the photo you can see a sculpture carved out of stone. A few years ago a competition was held in the city. During the competition, the artists received a stone from which to make a work of art. Then these sculptures were installed in different parts of the city.

And finally, the central square of the city:

Here I made a mistake and took a photo that shows nothing. It was necessary to use panoramic shooting. In fact, the square is quite large and filled with people. Now most of these people are refugees from the eastern regions of the country, it can be heard in their language. They bring their children for a walk so that they get used to peace and joy again. For these children, the local authorities have installed inflatable rides, trampolines, kiosks with cotton candy, popcorn... Now there is noise and commotion, it is completely imperceptible that the country is at war.

That was the end of our walk, because my daughter wanted to go to a coffee shop and eat macaroons. I hope you enjoyed it :)

Thank you for taking a walk with me in my hometown :)

Nice and beautiful places to show off!👍

No matter how small it may seems, it can not still be compare to some other city's.

I pray for peace in your country 🙏🙏🙏.
Life is all by grades.

Thanks for sharing 👍👍

I pray for peace in your country

Thank you very much. I hope there are no more armed conflicts in your country.

I would like to take this opportunity to give you a little advice. You are an active contributor, but your earnings are small. You probably know that there is a curatorial program on the platform. If you follow the rules, you can get good support with SC04-08 accounts. Please read this post: https://steemit.com/hive-176147/@solox/topics-and-curators-summary-may-2022-club100

You love to photograph nature. But such posts do not receive much support. Try to tell something from your own experience: about a trip, about a day at university, about anything you took part in. Everyone has things in their life that can be told to others. I see that such posts are much more strongly supported by the community.

Your post will be much more likely to receive support if it contains at least 300 words.

I'm not insisting in any way, I just want you to get more support. I talked to an author from Nigeria. He told me that the income from Steemit in most cases exceeds the income from permanent employment in Nigeria.

Oh, and almost forgot. You will not receive support if you are not at least in the club 5050. I understand, at first glance, it seems that it is very difficult to give half of the earned SBD to Power Up. But if you do, your income will increase much more, and as a result you will be able to withdraw to the cryptocurrency exchange much more than now.

Thank you very much Brother @oleh , 9 really so much appreciate your advise it's so encouraging.
I'm glad you understand a bit of Africa most especially Nigeria.

I can still improve on myself base on your advise if I'm so much determine.

But still I like working on nature's. And if this can also be supported I think my earnings can also improve and I will make sure to work on my power-up too so as to be in the club5050 .

Greetings friend @o1eh

Thank you for giving us a tour of these beautiful places through your fine photographs.

Nice post.

By the way, I wanted to write a post about my city after reading your post "" Getting to know La Puerta - Trujillo. My town in 10pics ":) I really liked it.

Hello dear @o1eh, you live in a small but cute city. I really liked the architecture of the city. I wish you a peaceful city without war🤗

Thank you very much! This is the central part of the city. Of course, there are sleeping areas with high-rise buildings, where there is nothing beautiful. But I really like it here :)

Wow those are beautiful place as like those building and it's color. It's looks like very old or can say made by kings time.

Yes, I showed the historic center of the city, so the buildings are really old.

Beautiful city. May your country will be in peace again

Thank you, peace is the most important thing for us now.

This city is very nice, thanks for showing to us

Thank you for visiting :)

Beautiful small town! I live in a city with a population of 12 million where traffics is a nightmare! Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful small town!

Thank you, I think so too. I had the opportunity to live in a big city, but I decided to go back to a small one :)
