Welcome to the fascinating world of interesting reading. In this journal, I try to select posts published in the last few days that you might be interested in reading. Remember, every author wants to be noticed, so if you have time, visit a post you liked and leave your upvote or comment. It will be the best reward and encouragement.
Now let's see what we have this time.
🆕 Artificially "Intelligent" Newcomers
It didn't take long for it all to unravel and it became clear, that this account had been generated with the help of AI. I was particularly impressed with the images submitted for Achievement 1 - realistic people holding a sign with their name on - certainly very convincing.

This is my final diary entry about my trip to Skardu. I'll cover the Manthokha Waterfall and Blind Lake in my today's blog.

Social Media, Web Communities and Keeping People Interested!
Most new ideas tend to experience a very distinct spike in activity at the beginning of their life cycle where everybody's excited because there's something new and it feels like it has great potential. But, after a while, things seem to slow down a little bit because you get used to the community and the excitement of "newness" wears off.
Meet my pets - Kaya, Holly and Herbie
I've had three pets in my life, two of which are cats and the other one is my dog. Let's start with my first pet, Kaya.
The Transcendent Moments We Remember...
The sequence of photos in this post were taking during the last HSP Retreat I went to, in 2008. I say "the last," because I haven't been to one since... even though I went to many before that one. They were always mind and soul expanding experiences, but this one was "special" because a group of OGs from that particular community had made a point of being there... so it was part retreat and almost like a family reunion, as well.
Jim Morrison was right, people are strange!
So often - and plenty on social media - I am witness to people in one single breath stating that they don’t want to be a part of any ugliness towards another but simultaneously shunning “whoever” was mean or ugly in the first place. They are doing the same thing, just in a different manner, which ultimately makes them no different.
To Exhibit or Not to Exhibit
After eight weeks, I shut down the Friday exhibitions. They required I spend Fridays cooking, cleaning and making a run to the liquor store, instead of painting or writing. Which made me think that perhaps exhibiting is the wrong idea, or at least in the way we ordinarily go about it.
As always, thanks for putting this together so beautifully, as well as for the shoutouts!
