Hello everyone,
Although life stopped after the great earthquake in Turkey, we are slowly returning to normal. Although we continue our daily lives in some way, there is always sadness inside us. However, life goes on and the important thing is to learn the necessary lessons from this great disaster.
Since my cousin was getting engaged last week, I went to Samsun to be with them. It was perfect for morale to meet with cousins and spend time together. We've had some very difficult times in the last month and spending time with my cousins has been very good for my psychology.
I went to Samsun two weeks ahead of the engagement, our plan was to shop and help with the preparations. However, I couldn't get out of bed because I had a very severe flu in the first week. Right after I got better, I did a little shopping with my cousins Büşra and Emircan.
Just before the engagement, my other cousins, Ufuk and Mustafa, came to Samsun and our team was complete. The night Büşra went out to dinner with her boyfriend to get a marriage proposal, we hung out with 4 cousins as a singles club.
The idea of Büşra getting married shocked me and Emircan the most. It is very important for us that she leads a happy life, but we still feel sadness. I don't know why, maybe it's because I can't accept this fact. Or the worry that everything will change after marriage, but I hope they will be very, very happy.
The next day, Ufuk was back to work, and Büşra was going to spend time with her boyfriend, in other words, with her new fiancé. Mustafa, Emircan and I were left behind. Since it will be the last day we will spend together, we wanted to make good use of today. It was quite rainy that day, so we could do indoor activities. We first went to laser tag. As someone who doesn't like guns, we shot at each other harmlessly here, throwing all our energy away.
We went to the House of Horror after laser tag because we wanted to evaluate the day to the fullest. This was my first horror house experience but it was short lived due to dear Mustafa and his phobia of snakes🐍. While we were waiting in the horror house, one of us said that Mustafa has a snake phobia. The first task given in the horror house was to find the key in the dark room, otherwise one of us would end up in a coffin that was supposedly full of snakes. Since we could not find the key, Mustafa, who has a snake phobia, was chosen for this task, but we were disqualified from the game because he was also a spoilsport. However, at the end of the day, we had a lot of material to have fun with Mustafa.
One of the best parts of going to Samsun is meeting our kitties. We actually had three cats in the village, but one of the cats never came home while I was there. "Broken Tail" disappeared after the first week and unfortunately there is still no news of them. Only "Girl Girl" remained. She gave this beautiful pose with Büşra's heart balloons.
And finally, the day of return had come. On the last day, we gave our famous pole pose with Büşra. In fact, the balcony was renovated last summer and the location of our pole was changed, but we did not neglect to pose with our pole in its new place.
Since it takes about 12-13 hours by car between Samsun and Antalya, I made my trips by plane. I reached Antalya within an hour and a half by plane. Since I was sitting by the window on the plane, I completed the journey by watching the sky. Good memories remained after these intense two weeks.
