It's a Sad, Sad Story😿

Hello everyone;
Today I'm going to tell you about a story that ends quite sadly for me. For this, we will go back quite a bit. In this story, which lasted about 9 years, I will talk about my cat.

Actually, our story started very well. In 2006, when I was just a high school student, my father came home with a tiny cat. My father saw this little cat trying to cross the street in a place with heavy traffic and when he realized that she was a stray cat, he brought her home.

When she got home, the whole family fell in love with her at first sight. She was a very beautiful cat with white fur and deep blue eyes👁💙. Although we found her on the street, she was a breed of cat🐈. According to the vet, he was an Angora cat. Deafness is common in these cats. Our little girl was also deaf. That's why we've never been able to name it. We always referred to her as "kedi". Kedi😸 means cat in Turkish. So I can say that my daughter didn't even have a name.

Unfortunately in 2012, my computer broke down, and all my photos before 2012 were lost. The thing that upset me the most was that the photos of my cat were gone with my computer. That's why there are so few photos of my kitty before this painful accident.

Until 2013, our story was very beautiful. Kedi was the little girl in our house. She was the apple of the eye of the whole family.

However, we live in one of the hottest cities in Turkey🌞. For this reason, the summer months are very oppressive due to the heat. Therefore, windows and balcony doors are always open. Although the cat was a very well-behaved and clean animal, she was very curious about birds. For this reason, our cat did not move away from the balcony, or the window. We used to close the windows and doors when the cat was alone. So we would check it every night before going to bed. But even a one-time mistake can cause terrible things. While going to bed one night, my mother forgot to close the window in the kitchen, and our cat did not forgive this mistake.

The day of July 13, 2013, was one of the worst days in my life. I will never forget how my father woke me up that morning. When my father woke up in the morning, they couldn't find the cat and they found the cat outside. Unfortunately, the cat fell and was bleeding.

Of course, we immediately went to the vet. The first vet we went to said that the cat's spinal cord was broken and the best course of action was to end the cat's life. It was said that the cat would never be able to walk again. It was out of the question for us to accept such a thing.

We went to another vet after the cat's first aid was done at that vet. There, they said that his spinal cord was not broken and that the cat could walk with treatment.

The next process was quite difficult for my mother and me. One of the recommended treatment methods for our cat to be able to walk was to swim the cat every day. And making the cat drink drugs that she hates. Cats hate swimming, but we tried to make her swim for half an hour every day. But unfortunately, the treatment never responded and our cat was not able to walk again until the day she died.

She was also unable to urinate, as her back legs were not holding. That's why she usually lived in a box. We changed the diaper under her as she went to the toilet. For this reason, we often wake up at night from our sleep. Since she could not walk, we gave her food as she meowed. So she needed care just like a baby. In this process, we could never leave her alone at home. Either my mother or I were always at home. Because our cat needed us.

This process continued for about a year and a half. By March 2015, our daughter had begun to refuse to eat, and her life ended on March 8, 2015. Although I am very sad, this torture that she went through has come to an end. I hope she is at peace now. I still miss her so much and I want to remember when she was healthy and happy.

Very sad indeed. ¿Have you got another cat now?

Thank you for your comment 🙏🏻 Because of this painful experience, I don't want to have a cat unless I have a house with a garden.

That is very wise. If you can make it it might be easier to 'forget' the pain once you get a new cat. I hope you will one day.

Thank you for your good wishes🙏🏻

He looks like the famous cat that has rhythm in the videos!!

ohh they look like each other :)

I have lost pets before...this made me sad :(

😿

In my opinion this isn't a sad story, it is a story oozing humanity.
Lucky you were sharing part of your life with her.

ohh thank you for this nice comment :) I think you're right

Kedi it's a lovely name that I didn't know means cat in Turkish. Gave me a great idea for my next cat if I ever have another one. She unfortunately had the same accident as another kitty of a Spanish dancer called Sarah Ardah... Her feline jumped out of the window and couldn't survive for a longer time. 😿 I'm really sorry for your little but beautiful white buddy with blue eyes. Regards from my part.

Thank you🙏🏻. I didn't know about the Spanish dancer's cat, but unfortunately, cats often get into this accident.

Yeah . It seems it's more common than we might even though.

OMG that's really sad. I have a kitty too, and I don't wanna think that she will be gone one day :(

It's incredible how these little creatures become part of our lives and families. I'm sorry RIP Kedi

Thank you 🙏🏻 I hope your kitty lives a very long and happy life with you

Thank you! I hope so too :3
