Hello again, dear friends!
Today, I want to share some great news, especially for Turkish users. The Turkish National Volleyball Team has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the VNL (Volleyball Nations League) for the first time in history. This is an incredibly proud moment for us. In Turkey, football is indeed the most popular sport, but that doesn't apply to me. My favorite sport has always been volleyball.
Indeed, it's worth acknowledging that despite football being the most popular sport in Turkey, our volleyball teams have been the most successful ones. The Turkish volleyball league is regarded as one of the top-tier leagues worldwide. Additionally, clubs like Vakıfbank, Fenerbahçe, and Eczacıbaşı have won championship cups several times, showcasing their dominance. However, until recently, our national team had not secured any significant cups. Yesterday, our national team achieved a historic victory by winning their first major cup against China. It's a remarkable milestone for Turkish volleyball and a moment of immense pride for all of us.
VNL commenced in late May, with the first leg taking place in Antalya, Turkey. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to watch our national team in action. I attended the matches where Turkey played against Italy and South Korea. It was an incredibly special moment for me because, despite following the team since my childhood, it was the first time I had the chance to watch them live. I'm overjoyed that this unforgettable experience culminated in the team winning the gold medal. It was a perfect ending to an incredible journey.
Today, I want to share my happiness with all of you. I am immensely proud of our national team's achievement. I also want to express my gratitude to our team, particularly our coach Danielle Santerelli, our captain Eda Erdem, MVP Mellissa Vargas, and all the other players who put in their hard work and dedication. Their efforts have truly paid off, and they have brought great joy and pride to our nation. Thank you all for your exceptional performances and for representing Turkey with such distinction.
I used to love to play Volleyball at school, do you play?
