All The Flowers Are For Me is the title of an entire exhibition here in Kew. This bright colourful installation features a LED bulb and lacquered steel.
It is inspired by Asian Islamic architecture. It uses patterns, light and reflection all within a large space.
The artist, Sue Wickison, was born on Sierra Leone. She traveled to the Solomon Islands to collect rare orchids.
Sue recorded plants that are used for stabilising slopes in remote Nepal and waterlines in Lesotho. She has also documented endemic endangered species in New Zealand.
The artist is represented in lots of collections, both public and private including the Hunt Institute, RBG Sydney Florilegium, the Royal Collection, the Auckland Museum and here in west London the Shirley Sherwood Collection. Earlier this year Sue received the Jill Smythies Award.

I had to read twice to understand that the patterns are created simply by the lamp and the cube in the middle. It looks like painted.

This is a very good point, I haven’t thought of it this way to be honest. It’s a mind blowing place indeed🏮It felt quite calming actually when I was there, due to the flower patterns I suppose.
