It is situated here in the outskirts of Helsinki.
There is a public bus that takes you right by the pure white bridge, the other side of which is the museum’s main entrance. This local bus however is extremely irregular so start early to ensure you have enough time for exploring.
The museum represents a miniature version of rural Finland from the 17th to the 20th century.
All the buildings here are authentic, real people kept the fire going in the tile stoves, snored in the bedrooms and pretended singing hymns in the church pews.
The houses have been transported to the museum, a magnet especially on weekends for both locals and tourists, from various parts of this Scandinavian country.
The museum is of interest for adults and children who can’t wait to go in the tenant farms, the Manor House and the chimneyless wooden cabins.

A very interesting place. I love such museums. When I was in Finland with my daughter, we visited an old cardboard factory. The factory has not worked for many years, but it was not destroyed but decided to make a museum. There are guided tours in 3 languages - Finnish, English, and Russian.
The only disappointment is that it is forbidden to take photos and shoot videos.
