An hour walk to the pub for lunch (make sure your backpacks are not too heavy!) from our cosy accommodation in Stroud, the Cotswolds, England. We saw some birds and their little ones on the way here. Some people were playing cricket.
Arrived at the pub and quickly ordered a pint of otter (hopefully not made from otters) beer.
Smoked salmon and crayfish terrine, rosemary croutons, cress salad, pomegranate, garlic aioli £8.25 at The Old Fleece.
Paired well with a glass of a citrusy new world Sauvignon wine with a taste of gooseberry, lychee and pineapple and an elderflower bouquet.
Cheers and happy Sunday!
