Woke up early for a Saturday in London. Took a train to Southampton airport. Then drove 5 hours to the Lake District. It was totally worth it.
Arrived just in time for the sunset. Sunset with a view of a viaduct by a national park with cattle, bunnies and deer 🦌 roaming freely right at your doorstep.
The accommodation is brand new, boasting stunning views and it’s entirely wildlife themed. I’ve got my own squirrel 🐿 box and plenty of bird feeders meant to attract even woodpeckers!
There is even a built in bell which you ring and the hosts will show up to assist you. I promised myself I’ll not take advantage of this feature because I can be very demanding 🙈The phone signal here is quite patchy but the high speed Wi-Fi is making up for it.
The bedroom makes you feel like a princess. There are cute vintage hangers in the wardrobe for your five star outfits. Not that you need many out here because the nearest lively place is a supermarket, which is a half an hour drive away.
The bathroom is the size of a bedroom and I’m not exaggerating.
Guess what I’m up to right now? Stargazing 🔭 as I’m lucky to be staying for the next 6 days in one of the designated dark sky areas in the UK
A beautiful view, maybe you will see a steam engine crossing over the viaduct like on a Victorian postcard!
