Birds are usually quite curious and do not hesitate to stare at you when you are close to them, especially to know what our intentions are.
This has already happened to me a couple of times walking in the park.
The first time I came across a small sparrow that had perched on the rope of a fence. He stared at me long enough for me to take this photo.
The second time also happened the same with a sparrow (it was not the same) and I stared at a much closer distance (a little daring yes it was that sparrow).
As you can see in the photo I took, it seems that he looked at me with much more mistrust than the first one.
