We arrived in Vintimiglia by train, as part of our plan to slowly explore the Italian coast, one stop at a time. Traveling this way allows us to soak in the changing landscapes, from rugged cliffs to charming seaside towns, while embracing the relaxed rhythm of local life. Each destination is a new discovery, and Vintimiglia, with its warm colors and inviting atmosphere, was the perfect place to start our journey.

Vintimiglia, a charming town on the Italian Riviera, sits just across the French border, offering a perfect blend of Italian warmth and Mediterranean beauty. Bathed in sunlight, the town bursts with vibrant colors, from its pastel-hued buildings to the shimmering blue of the Ligurian Sea.

Food lovers will find paradise in the bustling market, where stalls overflow with fresh pasta, artisanal cheeses, and cured meats. Local cafés invite you to slow down with a refreshing spritz, the iconic Italian aperitif best enjoyed under the golden light of the afternoon.

Wandering through the old town, you’ll discover a magnificent church, its ancient stone walls whispering stories of centuries past. Further down, the marina, elegantly arranged in a circle, hosts boats gently swaying with the tide. The scent of salt and citrus fills the air as waves kiss the shore, creating an atmosphere of pure relaxation.

Whether you're here for the food, the stunning seascape, or simply to soak in the sun, Vintimiglia captures the essence of la dolce vita. It’s a place where time slows down, and every moment is worth savoring.
