This photo of fancy Fly agaric mushroom was my winning macro, published exclusively for Steemit blockchain in this post..

My post was the only entry in the 'Plants' category, among four other splendid insects posts. Check the macro works by @david-city, @master-animal, @village-hery, @ummamah -- stunning pieces of photo-art. Happily, mushrooms gave me the chance to win the prize again.

This week I participated with photos:

location: Vyritza, Russia August 2021 natural light
camera/lens: Canon 5D Sigma 50mm 1.4 raw-conv
f 2.8 t 1/x ISO 160 --

They represent all of life cycle stages of this mushroom. And I didnt have to go to the Russian forest to find them to shoot: vice versa, the mushrooms itself came to me - I found them right next to our doors. Nice, isnt it?

When the fly agaric first emerges from the ground, it looks like a pimpled white egg; it breaks through its 'shell' and rushes out - the remains / pieces of that shell egg then adorn the bright orange cap of the mushroom with white dots, which is a very characteristic feature.

In my garden, mushrooms grew of about the same age, and in the territory of my neighbors I found more mature versions of the fly agaric - I did not have to wait for the mushroom to grow old. I could photograph what they looked like - both a ground mushroom and an old mushroom at the same time.

I usually use dedicated Sigma 150mm for macro, it gives 1: 1 magnification and good bokeh. But this time I decided to take another lens - a universal daily 50mm (it also has excellent bokeh), and with its help I got interesting eye-pleasing results.

TNKY! your support is appreciated, as always.
