And these improvised homemade swings are common in the countryside, and are called - after the character in Burroughs's novel about Tarzan of the Apes - "bungee". This is a very special swing that requires significant arm strength and coordination of movements to swing on them - you need to swing with your whole body, the design does not allow you to push off the ground with your feet.
А эти импровизированные самодельные качели распространены в сельской местности, и называются - в честь персонажа романа Берроуза о Тарзане из племени обезьян - "тарзанка". Это очень особенные качели, которые требуют для использования существенной силы рук и координации движений, чтобы на них качаться - нужно раскачиваться всем телом, оттолкнуться ногами от земли конструкция не позволяет.
