The World of XPILAR -- B&W PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY/ Korean ink paintings

Korean paintings and Korean historical cartoon characters.

Korean painting ink is very strong black, so you can express a strong contrast on white paper.
There was a children's historical cartoon that was popular 30 years ago. It was nice to see the artist's work at an exhibition recently.

It was a historical cartoon called 'Im Kkeok-jeong'.
In the Joseon Dynasty, when it was a status-based society, there was a man named 'Yoon Hong-seong', a politician. Historically, he was a bad guy, but he lived well and died of disease. The cartoonist called him out in a cartoon and changed the story to be killed by his slave.

This is the collection of medieval Korean slave-turned-revolutionaries.
