My latest drawings are on toned paper.
They both have cylindrical body.
To understand how to draw round objects, visit my cylinder drawing guide.
Tip 1:
When drawing a cylindrical object, use a center line. It determines the minor axis for all ellipses.
Tip 2:
When drawing on a toned paper, it desaturates the colors, which is great for realism.
Tip 3:
A toned paper has no light areas (because it is not white).
When drawing with markers, you can use a white pencil for the highlights and light areas.
Here you can find more about my favorite paper types for drawing.
Tip 4:
For realism, markers are not enough for fine details and textures.
You can use colored pencils on top of them.
