Realistic Drawing - Ran Art Blog

Two new drawings.

The first is a graphite drawing of a key.
Pay attention to the sharp edges of the key compared to the soft edges of the cast shadow.
You can read more about edges in my guide for realistic drawing.

Second drawing is with markers and colored pencils.
It is about continuity.
Meaning, when an object covers part of another object, you have to look for continuity.

In addition, when colors are involved, make sure the saturation is not strong.
A rich and vivid color does not look realistic (in most cases).
More about colors, paints and the color wheel you can find in my color mixing guide.

:o)

Be careful, such detailing of the drawing can help an intruder to get into your house lol!
As always, incredible technique and accuracy of the drawing :)

Thank you very much.
Nothing to steal here, except my artworks :o)
