Villa in 2-Point Perspective - Ran Art Blog - LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #161steemCreated with Sketch.

I drew this villa in two-point perspective.
Rendered with graphite pencils.

Perspective drawing (linear and atmospheric) is arguably the most important drawing fundamental, especially for drawing from imagination (for concept art or product design).

The horizon placement is super important when planning a composition.

In the image above, you can see different horizon placements in my paintings.

You can see the top part of objects when they are below the horizon, and the bottom part of an object, if it is above the horizon.

When drawing with one point perspective, width lines are parallel to the horizon when drawing (if they are parallel in real life).

Height lines are perpendicular to the horizon (and parallel to each other).

Only depth lines meet at the vanishing point (which is on the horizon).

An example of a villa:

Once you are happy with the design, you can render it in any way you want.
Here with line drawing (using a pen):

You can color it if you want.

In two point perspective, only height lines are parallel (and perpendicular to the horizon).

Both width and depth lines meet at vanishing points.

When using the full surface of a paper, for drawing, the vanishing points are quite far away.
For that, I connect the drawing paper to other paper sheets in both sides.

Once the perspective lines are ready, I fill them with brightness values, making sure there are no visible lines (if I am rendering in a realistic style).

Once we see the helpline that makes it clear how and why the shape is like it is, everything looks in harmony with our mind. The examples are great.

I agree.
Maybe I should have included more examples.
Here is another example in 2-point perspective, with help lines:

And, the final render:

In the future, I will probably post more on perspective.
That's one of the ways to create the magic we artists do.
Meaning, showing the 3D world in a 2D way.

That is great example, I always struggled to draw such objects because behind it was narrow then front, without knowing the perspective it is difficult, but with the knowledge it is quick and enjoyable :)

By the way, Ran the villa that you did for tutorial is it something new you created recently or from your previous once. Just when you do something and it is posted first here then please use #steemexclusive

Hi,
Yes, the villa is my latest drawing.
It is inspired from a student. She likes these types of villas, so I decided to draw one, as a new update to my tutorial.
Ok. I will use the #steemexclusive again.
In any case, when I write something for WoX, it is not the same as my tutorials.
And, if I post on Instagram, it is just a photo, while here it is usually accompanied by tips or a guide.

As for perspective, just think like that: if it is far, then it should look small.
That is why things become narrow (in any direction).

Here it is in 3-point perspective:

Wow this is all new to me reading more about this and you post kinds of explains more to me. Thank alot for sharing.

Thank you.
With your beautiful artworks, think how much more you can do by using some perspective.
If you need any help with it, or links to articles, or YouTube channels, please let me know.

You are welcome
Yes I would let you know if there any question I have or any thing I need to improve my art works. I really appreciate your support.

It is my pleasure.
I teach 6 days a week, so that is what I do.

I would love to sit under one of your classes, Maybe some day when I'm buoyant enough and able to travel around I would do that.

I'd love that too.

😁😁
