Hello Dear Friends

Greetings to all members of the World of Xpilar community! I'm excited to share a pencil drawing of ' A Jumping Spider' I created just today. First and foremost, I want to thank respected @xpilar for organizing a competition that allowed art enthusiasts like me to showcase our skills.

I'm inspired by the drawing skills of my friend @sultan-aceh, which motivated me to create this artwork. I hope you all will definitely share your thoughts and feedback on this Drawing.

Tools

  • Blank Papaer
  • lead Pencil ( HB, 3B ,8B )
  • Charcol Pencil
  • Blending Pen
  • Eraser

Process

Let's move on to the stages of creating this artwork. I took various pictures at different stages while creating this drawing, which you can see below.

First, I used an 'HB' pencil to outline the spider on paper. Then, I used a 3B pencil to darken the different points slightly.

Then, I blended all the internal parts of the outline using blending stumps, so that the pencil lines wouldn't be visible. Then, I darkened the spider's face and eyes with a charcoal pencil. This step was a bit challenging and time-consuming.

Then, I darkened all the spider's legs with an '8B' pencil. And to make them more prominent, I used a charcoal pencil. To give this spider a 3D look, I first created its shadow on the ground using an '8B' pencil, and then used a blending pen to blend it so that the pencil lines wouldn't be visible.

In the final stages of the drawing, I used a pencil to give the spider a more realistic look by slightly highlighting the fine hairs on all its legs.

I hope you like my drawing. And if you think it needs further improvement, please do let me know in the comments. Your comments will be a great source of encouragement for me."
