⚓ 5 huge traditional sailing vessels

Since I take a lot of photos of boats (in order to sell them) I have quite the collection.

Today I share some of them with you! We are still amazed about the quantity of ships sailing around in Dutch waters... Stunning, Fast and in good shape... Traditional sailing in the Netherlands! These are all charter vessels, so you are able to book them!

By the looks of it, this is another one with a lot of wind. If one of these sailing barges just sails with the main and a reef (make a sail smaller) this usually means a lot of wind or something is wrong. I assume first here. Unfortunately I am not quite sure who that actually is.

This is the Victoria S on her way back to Harlingen. She was eager to overtake us but since we are in a better position here we denied that. This photo ended up on postcards as well as business cards.

Sometimes it is all about the waves, the wind and the framing in a photo. You see the sailing vessel Aldebaran with wind force 8. She is a 35 meter # 2 mast clipper - still she just sailing with the storm jib. Tremendous amounts of wind and forces make it so that this is the best way to sail in a storm like this.

This is the Onmuting. I sailed on this vessel for a while. It is "small", fast and the draft is basically none existent. We call these kind of boats usually a U-Boot since the waves always crashing over the bow.

I like symmetry and I like sailing vessels, so you can figure why this one is here.
