Very inspiring words for me and everyone here. When we have set a plan to achieve our goals, but there are unexpected things that happen so we have to be patient for a while to set the pace.
In that phase sometimes many negative thoughts dominate the mind so that gradually we will think of giving up on the initial goal. Giving up is the nature of weak people, not "fighters" like us, who have a strong determination to achieve the goal.
Reanalyzing the plan is an action that is often done by successful people out there. Learn carefully the mistakes in the original plan, and never do it again. Understand the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities within us, so that we do not act blindly.
S.W.O.T analysis was my main tool when I was still active at BEM, Faculty of Law, Sriwijaya University. When we are faced with a problem that is dangerous to our goals, we will try to come up with a new plan that is more perfect than before. It never crossed my mind at that time to cancel or change our goal. The quote "If the PLAN does not work change the PLAN but do not change the GOAL" fits perfectly with that condition.
Colonel Sanders just managed to find the right business formula for his fried chicken in his old age. Does he quit when he fails or change his goal to become a successful businessman? We all know the answer, it is an example of a person who has a high determination towards his goals.
