Like any other day, for me a macrophotography lover I try to find an object for me to post. I walked into the garden of one of the residents in my village with the intention of finding insects or beetles. But accidentally I found a fly perching on the residents' plant.
I also captured this fly with my smartphones by adding a macro lens on the camera end of the smartphones.
Well, I usually find flies in places that we can say dirty, for example in dirt or carcasses.
A very significant difference between these flies is that they are classified as plant-eating pests, and these flies are also classified as species of flies from the genus Liriomyza and the Agromyzidae family. The Latin name for this plant-eating or green leaf fly is Liriomyza chinensis.
As I said above, these Liriomyza chinensis are herbivorous animals which are leaf-eating pests and are the big enemies of farmers.
The plants that are used as food for Liriomyza chinensis are as follows;
- Potatoes
- Broccoli
- Corn
- Tomato
- Nuts
- etc
The plants I mentioned above are used as food for Liriomyza chinensis in the form of stems and leaves, and will occasionally eat from the vegetables too.
