She helps keep the energy workable, not manic, hence the positive goods— painting , cooking, writing, gardening...

Very nice balance. I recognize that in my relationship also, usually when one of us is euphoric the other is tempering and vice versa. I also suspect we do not have defined roles so much as you do, jajajaja.
