There are things that people do not consider blessings but they are not just fundamental blessings, they are the hinge on which many others are hinged on. A lot of people wait for visibly loud blessings before they realise how blessed they are but they fail to take note of many other good things that they have. You will be surprised the good things that you have, but you can see them if you will be able to think well. Many people just focus on their needs that are not yet met and feel bad about them, but they fail to see the blessings that they already have. Here, we shall be looking at some underrated blessings, so as to help us to think well, and then be grateful.

The first and very important blessing that a lot of people neglect is good health. If you are not having a health challenge, then you do not know how blessed you are. A few days back, a friend of mine had a blister on her finger, which later grew into something else. Within those times, she experienced so much pain than she could ever imagine. It got unbearable and she went to the hospital. The doctor recommended surgical proceedings to remove the growth. At the end of the day, she spent a lot of money for the surgery. That was the time she realized how important good health is. Just one attack to the finger and she became disorganised; imagine if it was other parts of the body. We should learn to appreciate the gift of good health.

Sincerely speaking, even wealth is not complete if the health is challenged. Many other good things of life will definitely depend on good health to be appreciated. There is almost nothing that makes sense to a critically sick person. You may not understand fully the blessings of good health until you experience a discomfort. Just to let you know; for the fact that you slept and woke up strong and healthy should be considered a very remarkable blessing that you should be appreciative of. When there is good health and there is life, then everything, including hope, becomes possible.

Another very underrated blessing is having a good and supportive family and friends. When you have the presence of the people who love you, it feels so good. In fact, knowing that there are people who care about you is a good feeling on its own. You may not fully realise the blessedness of having the presence of your loved ones or the people who care about you until you have experienced loneliness. There is no feeling as lonely as staying all by yourself without having someone to share some words with. The gift of a caring and supportive family and friends is priceless. It is worthy to note that you are who you are because of the people around you, so learn to appreciate their input in your life.

The next underrated blessing that we will look at is peace of mind. The world is already full of chaos, stress, tussles, anxiety, etc, that having your inner peace become very priceless. If you have ever been in a state of chaos or violence, then you will appreciate the need for peace. In fact, many of the good things of life thrive on the platform of peace. When you have peace within (the peace of mind), then you will be able to relate peaceably with people and with the world. Whatever you do, always guard your inner peace, because it is a blessing on its own.

The last underrated blessing that we will look at is the opportunity to grow. Anything that gives you an opportunity to grow - whether a job, a career, education, etc, you should consider it as a blessing. There are many people who want to improve and develop themselves, but they could not because they cannot afford it, or because they do not have the opportunity. The opportunity to grow is a blessing that should not be taken for granted. If you have ever been stagnated at a point, then you will appreciate the opportunity to grow and develop. You should also be grateful for the lessons that life teaches because these are part of what make you who you are, and they make you better.
