Hello everyone! Today I am going to begin with a showcase of some more of my dragon art. Anyone who follows me, especially on Instagram or TikTok where I have a longer content history, will know I love dragons. First though, a quick note that I am going to try to make a concerted effort to join the "14 Days Driving" newcomer support program here at #wox so, thanks to @bambuka for bringing it to my attention.
This means it is going to be a busy weekend for @jae5086 and I, as we are also in the process of creating an ecommerce site on Shopify. Once our website goes live, we will start our YouTube channel, which means we will have some extra content here on Steemit by embedding our time-lapse videos. I need to get better at filming my projects but I can't do them all because it usually hurts my back after awhile because I must maintain my body position to not block the camera.
Anyway, we appreciate the support the World of Xpilar and the greater Steem community has shown these past few weeks. You guys rock! Now, enjoy these simple wall/desk art pieces.
While I often like making Game of Thrones dragons, even though the ending of the show was so disappointing, these were not inspired by anything in particular. You will notice I have a particular style that I often use for watercolor backgrounds such as these. The background and the tree design were all inspired by a backcountry hiking trip to Dolly Sods, West Virginia, USA. @jae5086 took me early in our relationship and it was a blast. Such a beautiful sky from up on the plateau.
These are wood-burned (pyrography) pieces on some round, pre-cut lumber from a craft store. The background is watercolor and the art is then coated in epoxy resin then urethane or acrylic sealed. If you want to check out some more art, hop over to my last post and check out these Wood Burned Fantasy Maps
Stay tuned for more art. Can't wait? Check out my other social media below or browse my Etsy shop. See you next time!
I'm going to play Ark: Survival Evolved for a little THEN I will slave away on the new online shop. I need SOME fun time! :D
