Hi everyone, it's been some time since I have posted, though I at least do try to jump in roughly once a day to throw out some votes. Life continues to be crazy and shows no signs of stopping. Our friend's father who has been battling cancer had successful surgery to remove tumors from his esophagus and stomach but recently had to have an emergency surgery because the implant started leaking. He is back in recovery though, thankfully everything went well.
That situation has been causing @jae5086 to work more because he and our friend, who has been spending more time out of town with his family, also work together. On top of that, their company landed a very large concrete polishing project which necessitated hiring some new workers who need to be trained and babysat a little bit as they are green to his industry. Since he manages this account, we've been pretty silent. That doesn't mean the art creation process has been on hold however!
You may recognize the theme of this piece, as I have made two other similar ones. I wanted to play with some red foil (which I liked and have used on numerous pieces now). This piece is a sort of reimagining of my previous pieces - Golden Fox and Skeletal Fox - using the outline of one around the other as well as incorporating negative colors by leaving the background of the wood untouched.
In some other news, we're getting closer to our European trip in April. Passports have arrived and the tablet I got to learn digital art with will also work to keep us a little connected while we are away so we plan to post here about our journey. Jae is also excited that the game - Gate of Abyss - that he invested in will be launched by then and his hoping to create some "outposts" in-game for other players to use. He will get a cut of every transaction in his buildings and on the virtual land he owns that uses the in-game cryptocurrency $gin. The game is expected to be launched in March.
Back to the art. I never did get picture of the foil process on this one but it's the first time (I think) that I used the red foil. As mentioned earlier, I like it so have used it on some other new pieces, including some hearts that I'll probably not get posted in time for Valentine's Day. I'm so bad at that sometimes but I am at least getting better at timing things so they are finished, listed and able to sell and ship prior to a holiday. A few white highlights, a gold outline, and it is ready to be sealed and the hanging mount installed. That's a wrap!
Sorry again that we've not been very active of late but wanted everyone to know we've not forgotten or given up on the platform. Time has simply been in short order with so many things on the plate that not everything can be done. @jae5086 is constantly feeling guilty that he's not doing enough despite working a full time job on top of his efforts to help me with my art. Perhaps we'll get back to normalcy eventually, or perhaps we'll have to adjust to a new norm. I suppose time will tell. For now, keep on steemin'!

Beautiful, though I must say it looks better without the colors.
As an observer, I just love the drawing part, which you master.
