Hi Dear Friends, I buy nuts in the shell because I think they are healthier and more affordable. I also do the cleaning by breaking their shells. In fact, it is an enjoyable activity if the nuts are not too much. When I need to crack more nuts, I inevitably have hand pain problems. I tried many types for reasons such as durability and usability. I will mention a few of them.
This one has Pliers-style. The nut shells do not scatter around. This is one of its biggest advantages. However, it is not suitable for some types of nuts. I had difficulty cracking small hazelnuts. The handles are comfortable and work the muscles like a hand exercise. Finally, I'd say it's a good nutcracker, but performance varies with nut size.
This one has Pliers-style as well. I can say that this nutcracker price is the most affordable. Crushing is easy. However, a lot of crust is scattered around. A successful result is obtained for nuts of all sizes. After the hazelnut kernels are cracked, they can be thrown around. In general, a minimalist useful design.
I bought this nutcracker a long time ago. It has been working without problems for many years. I break hazelnuts with the upper part and walnuts with the lower part. The handles are comfortable. Now I don't know if these are still available.
Although the hazelnuts I cracked were in various sizes, they were about the following sizes.
Shells... I can design something with these. Or I can give it to my neighbor who has a stove to light. I don't want to throw it away. Do you have an idea about them?
Hazelnuts regained their freedom as in the photo :D
Nutcrackers with wooden or rubber handles may be more comfortable :) Out of all those hazelnuts, I noticed a heart-shaped one. Here is the heart nut. By the way, hazelnuts are also good for heart health :)
