Hi Art Lovers, visiting museums always not also motivates me to keep my productivity but also makes me feel good. I also like to take photos in the museums if they allowed it. I am going to share my art glass museum experience. It is a Modern Glass Art museum. This museum is Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Contemporary Glass Art Museum in Eskişehir that is a city in Turkey. I took my current profile photo is in there, as well.
This work was made by the Glass fusion technique in 2017. It is one of my favorite ones.
I will summarize the techniques of that I shared artworks.
Glass Fusion Technique
The process, which is made after the transparent and colored glass is cut into the desired form when cold, is placed according to the specified shape, and cooked at 750-900 degrees in ovens special for glass, is called glass fusion technique.
The fishes work's name is nameless. It was made by glass fusion technique in 2007. The right one is the most beautiful reptile I've ever seen :)
The left one made me fall into deep thought. I do not remember its name. The right one's name is Hierarchy. It was made by lampworking technique in 2008.
Lampworking Technique
It is a method of shaping glass by hand using a direct heat source. The glass softened by the heat of the flame becomes suitable for taking the desired form with the use of different shaping tools.
The left one was made by glass casting technique and blowpipe. Its name is Transformation. There are two diffirent works at the right side. The first one's name is Spy and the second one's name is Instrumentalist. All of these were made by hot forming technique in 2013.
Glass Casting Technique and Blowpipe
The desired forms and patterns are created in the technical blowing mold and applied by blowing method. Depending on the shape of the form, blowing is carried out by rotating the pipe or blowing it steadily.
This angry face is so realistic and also there are other facial expressions in here. The green part of face was made by kiln casting techniques in 2013.
Kiln Casting Technique
It is a technique that is applied by placing small or large glasses in the form of ingots into a heat-resistant mold, and then making the glass fluid in the mold with the firing process, allowing it to take the shape of the model in the mold.
The left one's name is Peacemaker. It was made by kiln casting techniques and taxidermy in 2015. The right one was made by glass, silicone gels and pigments techniques in 2010. Actually, the artist who made this artwork has interesting story so I can tell about him maybe in next post.
This chandelier looks very creative and dynamic. It is in the middle of the museum. It adds a modern mood to the traditional museum building.
Thank you for visiting my post and looking at my museum tour :)
