A long, long time ago, I had a comb with thick teeth that gently glided over my scalp. But over the decades, it disappeared. I never had a particular need for it since, as a man, I keep my hair short. Still, there were moments when it would have been useful. I always planned to buy one when the opportunity arose, but ordering such a small item online wasn't worth it, and going out specifically for it… well, I kept forgetting.
And then came this contest—what was I supposed to photograph?
So, when I went out for groceries, I made sure to set myself an extra task—to buy a comb and a hairbrush for myself.
I found them in a store called Avrora, a chain that sells all sorts of junk—I mean, a store for "a thousand little things." I searched the shelves, almost ready to ask a saleswoman, when I finally spotted them near the USB cables and chargers at the exit. I picked a green comb and brush—the most appealing option, as the others were rather dull.
At first, I thought I only needed the comb, but then I remembered the brush was supposed to be "massage-like"—and it actually felt pleasant to use. So, I bought both.
I decided to photograph them against plywood again, the same one I used for shooting the knife and forks. I slightly moistened it for better contrast.
Camera: Canon 650D / EF-S 24mm 2.8 STM. I bought it without a lens and got this one later, but I still haven’t bought a telephoto lens.
I invite you to participate in the contest
