Travel is such a magical medicine that both the body and mind become refreshed. It increases the cheerfulness of the mind. It teaches us to appreciate life anew.
A few days ago, I went on such an exciting trip with two of my other Steamian friends. Our destination was Panam City in Sonargaon, located in Narayanganj district, about 200 kilometers away from the current capital Dhaka. Panam City is a historical and archaeological city.
This historical city was founded in 1300 AD. When you visit this historical city, you can understand how good this city was even 600-700 years ago. This city was built mainly for the residents of elite families. All kinds of facilities were arranged here keeping in mind their convenience. There are a total of 51 buildings, small and large, playgrounds, treasury, courthouse, kitchen, market, and toilet.
Although the architecture of the city is very old, there is a touch of modernity in every architecture. Looking at the history, it is known that the buildings were designed following the Mughal, Sultan, and European architecture. We were fascinated and visited the architecture of Panama City. This city has also gained popularity as a tourist city. Thousands of visitors flock here every day. And enjoy the extraordinary craftsmanship of archeology with full enthusiasm. Not only domestic visitors but many foreign visitors also come to this extraordinary archaeological city.
This city is currently being preserved under the Archeology Department. They preserve this city with very hospitable behavior. We three Steemians kept looking at the entire city one by one. And kept wondering why we did not visit such a beautiful archaeological site earlier.
Today I present some pictures of my travel time here.
