Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.73)

First of all, I would like say thanks to @xpilar for organizing this contest. This drawing is a simple pencil sketch of a young boy in happy posture. This boy is wearing a casual t-shirt, pants and cap. This drawing shows a casual and stylish personality. Hopefully you like it.

Step 1

First of all I get lead pencil and draw the basic shape of the figure lightly. I start with simple lines and circles for the head. I keep it very light so that I can erase easily. After I draw the cap which is boy wearing. This will help me to get the right size of head. Next thing is that I draw glasses on the face of boy. In last of this step I draw lips and nose of boy.

Step 2

Next I draw sketch of shirt of boy. I draw his hands which he put in pockets. After I add the sleeves of shirt, this shirt has half sleeves. I give look to shape slight slope shape to show happy mood of boy. This make sketch more interesting.

Step 3

Next, I start with pants. I make sure it look natural by adding folds and curves in pant. I draw right side of pant and then lef side of pant. Now this is very close to completing sketch. It looks very interesting after adding pant in sketch.

Step 4

Now I moved to make darker lines. This will define the original shape and make it clear. I erased extra lines and smooth out rough edges. I drew shoes of boy to complete background sketch. Then I dark his t-shirt. I checked the arms, hands and legs look fine. It make step the of drawing more finished.

Step 5

Next thing I did, I pick black pencil and bold whole sketch of boy. After I add shading to give the drawing depth. I make darken areas like under the chin, around the eyes and in the t-shirt. I used a soft touch to blend the shading. This will make the drawing look more beautiful and interesting. I make wrist watch in this step.

Step 6

Lastly, I check my drawing for any mistakes. I darken pant of boy. I give details and erase extra lines. O also shades pocket area. Also shades the shoes to give original look. This final step makes my drawing complete and polished. Now, my art is ready. Waiting your response dear @xpilar .
