Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.33)

Hello, my Steemit users!!

Greetings and many thanks to everyone who stops here. I'm bringing my artwork to the WORLD OF XPILAR community pencil drawing competition today. I choose to attempt drawing a bird this time. It was a flying bird that was portrayed. Although the outcome was good, I wasn't entirely satisfied. Drawing is a process that I hope you appreciate.

The material I used at the time of drawing "The Bird".

🔹Eraser
🔹Color Pencil

Let's start drawing:

🕊️Step 01🕊️

First I drew the shape of the bird's head with the help of a curved line on the white paper. Then I drew the shape of the eyes in the center of the head shape and also shaded with the pencil around the eyes. I have drawn the bird's sharp beak on the right side of the head shape.

🕊️Step 02🕊️

After drawing the head, I drew the body part. In this case, two lines drawn from either side of the head meet at a certain point downwards. From where its tail will start drawing after. Then I drew two thin legs with sharp claws.

🕊️Step 03🕊️

Now, this is where I am going to take time because I started sketching out the bird's beautiful display of spread wings. Every feather was sketched out, and as you can see, the feathers get narrower and smaller as go inwards. Now begin sketching in some of the soft feathers scattered under the wings and on the belly.

After drawing this wing, I drew another wing in the same way on the upper side of the first wing.

🕊️Step 05🕊️

Finally, I reached the last drawing step. I have to do here is draw out the tail feathers to complete the body. In this case, I have drawn some straight lines from the last part of the body and closed the lower parts with curved lines to make a perfect feather tail.

Here is what the bird looked like when I was all done. Then I wrote the community name and my user name next to the sketched bird.

I say this is an appreciation of every little thing you have. I know at the very young age, we all have tried to draw and I don't think that non of them look the same. We're all one and the same!

I also have an artistic side of me, someone who loved imitating picture characters by drawing them. But as I grew old I was occupied with a lot of things that led me stray away from drawing. I feel like I still kind of good with it but I haven't given myself the time to try to draw again like you would.
