For my pariticipation in the new drawing competetion I decided to draw Itadori Yuji, a character from an animated Japanese series called "Jujutsu Kaisen".
Itadori is the main protaganist of the series.

The pic is from the comic version where Yuji wins in a battle against his worst enemy ''Mahito''.

STEP 1

I sketch out the drawing in my style with gentle strokes.

STEP 2

I begin shading using a darker pencil.

STEP 3

You can use a reference as a guide for shading, although in my drawing the shadows are focused on the cheek bones and other darker areas. You can use a tissue to smoothen the shading. The right eye is different because I added a detail where he has gone blind in the right eye due to the injury.

STEP 4

I start working on the scarf, for example cuts, shading. I add details to the lips, chin, and neck.

STEP 5

I draw the hair with individual strokes and add more details to the scarf

STEP 6

In the original, he had more injuries, so I add them too accordingly, for example, a slit cheek and a cut beside his lips.
