~ who shall not be named
A few words to share little too much!
I have been nothing but respectful since I joined this beautiful platform. But I'm allowed to rant a little about a few observations now and then. 😉
Articles/Posts/Texts - Respectfully, should be free of so many grammar and typing mistakes. There is really no shame in taking help of a teacher. You may call this teacher by any damn name. But it's better to have that much-needed help rather than posting trash in the name of 'writing' please. It hurts to read those sh**** pieces of so called literature. 🤕 Please get out of your comfort zone and proof read your texts. It will definitely improve the quality of your work. I'm not referring to a few typos; to err is human.
Arts - It's Steemit or a digital platform, not an actual art gallery. We all take help of images to beautify our posts. The definition of arts is different here. It's also getting redefined otherwise - it's evolving every day; Once upon a time, digital arts were looked down upon — not anymore (Don't you dare say a word about my favourite digital art contest organised by xpilar - I have won several times ☺️). Your favorite Canva is, again, one that shall not be named! It's only a matter of context before you start ranting. 😉
For your kind information, Camera was also considered evil once:
“Art’s most mortal enemy”
In On Photography, from The Salon of 1859, Charles Baudelaire argues that photography is not and cannot be considered art. “This industry,” he writes, “by invading the territories of art, has become art’s most mortal enemy.”

Translation tool - Who translates your texts? Yes, the one who shall not be named. Again, you need it here on Steemit and everywhere. Context, again, context. Please say thank you 🙏 to it respectfully for helping you and letting you communicate with a vast number of users here. It's your friend, not an enemy. I will have immense respect for human intelligence in this regard too - if you could learn all the languages on the face of planet Earth. But is it possible? Or more important? Is it necessary? My stance stands - I am fond of human intelligence but sometimes I have to rely on the other.
Conclusion = (Context + Use) minus (Abuse).
Algebra used to be my favourite subject
Use/ Abuse: Do I have to elaborate on the use and abuse of these applications? Who wants to read those robotic and bland texts? Those choppy sentences? They will lose their value sooner than later. So, by no means, do I endorse or approve of these kinds of texts. No - a big FAT No!
Human Intelligence: You do not admire it any more than I do. I always wanted to do mental mathematics like my dad and grandma. My dad is a number wizard, and I have nothing but immense respect for human intelligence. 🙇♀️ But that never stopped me from using a calculator for my daily expenses. I may not be intelligent, but I'm definitely not an idiot.
please test my text through any software, you will see sufficient human intelligence 😉
Since the inception of Chat GPT, AI has leaped forward and with this opening a never-ending debate of "Use AI" and "Don't use AI".
Like every other invention in the past, it will take time for people to adjust to it.
I have written another extensive comment on the topic elsewhere. I'd still add that instead of wasting our time on this debate, why don't we use it to our advantage and make our lives easier, especially when it can do the trivial time-consuming tasks in seconds like, ummm... research or facts or even ideation (or calculation like you said).
Sometimes, a choppy AI-generated idea can lead you to think of a better one.
Natural intelligence will forever remain superior but it can be maximized with a little assistance from artificial one.
Although I have never used AI even for ideation for my Steem blogs (except for image generation, 4 to 5 times for my blogs) my question is how's it different than someone "asks AI to give blog ideas" or "read a blog-writing post by a Steemian giving different blog topic ideas". Either way, he/she is not thinking of the idea on their own.
Written text should be your own on Steem because it's a blog writing space. But if I send you an AI-written email, informing you about something then it's okay because here the goal is to pass the information not how it is produced. I am only leveraging AI.
Similarly, I can use AI images to go along with my blog. But I shouldn't sell them as my digital art.
Sorry for the unstructured comment. I typed as I thought.

Oops why would you name it 🤭
My post isn't solely about ChatGPT or AI; instead, it's about some observations, specifically authors who take pride in their posts being human-written despite the errors—lacking structure and coherence. It truly bothers me; there's nothing to be proud of. I respect their human intelligence, but not in this regard! It's a blogging platform after all. Even if you are presenting your arts, do it in an error-free way. Make a minimum effort.
My work is also average, but I always make an effort to check the grammar and structure of my texts. It doesn't matter which tool I use.
I draw inspiration from your work and many other authors. I recognize the effort they put into their writing. I'm aware you use Grammarly for proofreading (English not being your mother tongue) and writing a post that takes more than just half an hour.
The AI debate is endless, and in my post, I have touched on the aspect of its use and abuse. The link you have provided summarizes it much better.
I also don't use it for text generation either.

Lol everybody already commented on HP reference but apart from that couldn’t agree more the balance lies in not abusing softwares, a healthy dose always benefits us all. At the end of the day it depends on human intelligence how well they are able to draw the line to get the perfect balance.

Hehehe - yes. You could also! HP is a classic 😉
Thank you for your remarks. We have engaged in lengthy debates on this topic, so you are familiar with the context.
You used to be a teacher as well, so you know the importance of good writing!

Voldemort brought us AI? ;-)))
Of course, many innovations and advanced technologies initially had to resist being labelled as "devil's stuff". But it is a fact that there is no one good and right thing for everyone. Different views and attitudes are legitimate and understandable. And nobody should try to proselytise those who think differently. Art is what you like ;-))

Hahahahaha - that's funny
Sometimes comments give a better perspective to my original text :)
But my text ain't about that one aspect only, especially the first paragraph. 😉 One can brag all about human intelligence and bash the 'other' in all possible ways - I have nothing but respect for them- but then this intelligence should be evident in their texts.
P.S: dear husband also serves as a calculator when I can't find my phone (calculator) - which is 99% - so yes, human intelligence can never be replaced. My kids won't be using this magic device until they have learnt their basic arithmetic and tables. I also know my tables, but I'm always in a hurry 😉

One can agree with your arguments or disagree and cite others.... after all, no truth is born in an argument. Truth has a life of its own.
Using any language translator, we are already working together with AI :)
Just to touch on one more aspect.
In my opinion it is not quite correct to pass off the AI product as your own thoughts. An author's text is an author's text. Here we should probably do the same as in the case of quoting, because in fact the author quotes the text created by artificial intelligence (although on its behalf).

It's great to see you! I bet you get a little irritated by all those incoherent and typo-filled posts too 😉. You probably have to scrutinize a couple of dozens per day...

That is true, but the reward is bigger when you give advice and see the improvement.
There is no greater joy than seeing how proud Steemians are when they get a vote, not to mention when they receive that first dolphin.
It warms my heart when I read posts about Steemit that put food on the table. Steem that was used to buy Christmas gifts for underprivileged children. Steem that came from writing diary posts to helping with a mother's cancer treatment. This is what Steemit is all about for me.
That, for me, is worth all the pain.
PS: After all, after 21 days, you get used to it. (•ิ‿•ิ)
