Hello dear Steemians,

You might wonder why I have placed a first image of the Steemitblog post, the reason behind is because this good Initiative of the Steemit Team that is still running is slightly out of sight because few of the Communities or users who were granted this great opportunity to support their communities are not active anymore. I do not know if other users using the chance and submitting the posts of others on behalf of the users who gone but I thought after 6 months the process of selection for granting the Booming Support should be reviewed.

It might be the Steemit Team is very busy with Challenges and also with overseeing the SteemcuratorXX accounts that is why I thought it would be good to highlight this area and to let the communities that are still running to get a new chance of getting Booming Support.

Here are some of the leaders of communities who were entitled to get Booming support but not active or powering down.

CRYPTO.KIDS

This community has no active users and "0" in payout. Despite of few people listed as Team, nobody is posting in this community. Therefore, it would be sensible to remove that community from Booming Support Program.

The user, who applied for the Booming @elinav, not active last two months, her Steem Power:

That is withdrawn (https://www.steemcryptic.me/club5050)

Steemit-Turkiye

This community @steemit-turkiye is also not active at all, Zero posts and Zero payout. The Community account has Powered down more than 10K

Steem Alive

This community had 70K when applying for Booming support and that was SP of the Moderators:

The leaders who Powering down

@alee75

This user applied for the community of "Hot News Community" but 3 days ago started Power Down:

The Community itself is still active and has good Moderators.

The Summary

The time goes on and users coming and going, there are many reasons for that. Therefore, my questions to the Steemit Team and @steemcurator01, if it would be beneficial to review once again the communities who were chosen for Booming support 6 months ago and call again for new Applications. There are few communities that are not active anymore but there are some old ones that are still working hard to retain their users. The same time we can see new ones too and it would be good to give them opportunity to support their users.

Thank you for the tool of to collect the data:

We are currently working on a review process for Booming support and for the Country Representatives.

Posts for both should be coming out on @steemitblog next week.

It is necessary that the communities/leaders who receive the privilege of nomination for Booming support to leave their notification so that the users know who nominated them. When we had Visual Art in Booming support, we always left a message saying that:

image.png

It is, also, good for ordinary user to know who liked his post and why.

Without transparency for both sides as nominator but also as users, otherwise nobody knows if the same user was nominated more often than should be or not.

Hope that will give you some idea when the conditions for Booming account will be reviewed.

Thank you for such vast range of Supportive opportunities for Steemians,

Hello, it is good that you care to highlight this situation. We would just like to add that the Crypto.Kids Community did not have the support of Blooming when it went on hiatus. Due to various problems (posted on our wall) we had to suspend activities.

P.D: The Crypto.kids account is still voting organically and we haven't done a powerdown.

That is good to hear from you and to know that there is still existing community account. Hope that it will get back on its popularity as before.

That's good to know! Many communities on Steemit — even quite large ones — have a way of suddenly "going to sleep" or completely ceasing to have activity.

Running a community takes a lot of time, effort and dedication... and I think many discover that it's a LOT more work than they thought it would be.

Saying this as a 25-year web group admin/sysop.

Thank you for taking this thing under consideration. Because a lot of communities are doing hard work for their community progress and they deserve to be selected for booming selection.

We are ready to follow the criteria to get booming support, and also waiting for the result of CR as I already submitted my application. 🤞

That's certainly a lot of research @stef1, so well done for taking the initiative!

Long term viability in communities takes a dedicated team and those people have to understand that keeping a community active takes a lot of work. Many — sadly — get going with great enthusiasm, but treat their projects more like a one-time lottery win, than the work it actually is.

I agree, many starting with enthusiasm but burn out soon. To be successful on Steemit it is a marathon and not a sprint. The other side is a good team with the same view and goal, having different people with different priorities under one hat is already programmed for loss.

Also, from any project the organisers need feedback, otherwise temptation of misusing is always there.

"To be successful on Steemit it is a marathon and not a sprint."

It is absolutely right, although this is also true in many areas of life, in Steemit this maxim is especially useful.

Agree, when we think about any project that it is something that will need consistency and work on daily basis then we reach good results too.

Greetings friend @stef1

Your statement is completely correct, however, I believe that the Booming votes have been directed to communities that were not selected at that time. It may not be long before they ask to apply again.

Hi @adeljose, I could not find in the @steemitblog any other posts regarding the Booming nomination. Do you mean the communities were directly asked?

On other hand we all know that the communities who run challenges, the curators that do curation with Steemcurator accounts do weekly reports and it is easy to know what is happening. As to Booming, it is absolutely not clear if the project is till running and what communities have a right for Booming. At least for me it is not clear and would be good to have more information about that.

As you say, it was not shared as usual in a publication, the Boomings were granted to other communities that at the time stated their intention of wanting to administer this support, I will share some of them below:

@colombiaoriginal
@hive-141434 "RecreativeSteem
@hive-181136 "ScoutsysusAmigos"
@steem-cameroon
@steemkidss
@steem4bangladesh

Yes, those communities are active, but it is always good to make rotation so that many others will have their turn too.

Wow, hard work of investigation, thanks a lot for maintaining us informed and trying for transparency in the Steemit community.
Despite I don't understand many things about how the community manage those task I agree it would be beneficial to review the communities that were chosen for Booming support and call again for new applications.

Thank you for reading the post and for your feedback. We all know that for successful enterprise the organisers need to motivate, control and refresh, because the people get used to something and stop developing themselves. I know that from our Medical field, we need to undergo appraisals every 12 months and provide evidences about our development. I believe many companies have something similar to make sure that the employees carrying out their tasks responsibly. All communities should be given equal opportunities and also they need to be changed after certain time, if we want users to keep being active and motivated. Hope that will also give an idea for the Steemit Team what to consider in the future.

Hi Ste, I absolutely agree with you. I hope the change comes.

Saludos

I have just noted that there are two communities with identical names, it is really very confusing. The question is who from those two have Booming account, because the community that was in old steemitblog post was the one that has no activity. Everything should be more transparent.

What is bad for someone, it will be good for others and vice versa, therefore, we are waiting for something useful from this news.

Yes, it is a time for renewing the communities and let others to have hte opportunity to support their users.

This is absolutely fair.
On the other hand, great work.

It's sad to see communities where life is fading away. In this part, the music is very lame, my son is sad because of this :).

Well done! 👍

Thank you :)

This is great investigative research @stef1.

Thank you :)

Friend your posts are very valuable. Indeed it is very important for us newbies as well.Thanks a lot for sharing a good post with us.

Thank you for visiting the post and keep an eye on the announcement of the "steemitblog"

Thank you for sharing this important post as I was also thinking about when the steemit team will post for the selection of communities for booming. I think they should have to review all these things and deserving communities should be selected for the coming months. A lot of users have power down due to their reasons. The same thing should be done for country representatives as most of the country representatives left steemit, especially from Pakistan only user one representative is active now. I hope we will get good news from the steemit team soon

I was not aware that some of the country reps also stopped being active. Then it will be really good to review and update them. Hope new application process will come next week.

Hi, Stef, the holidays are over and it's time to start the planned work :)
A good start for the beginning of the year, you've done a lot of research. These issues really require constant monitoring and adjustment.
It's very good that SС1 is in touch and he heard you. The beginning of the year is a good time to update :)

Thank you, hope that with this year, we will have more opportunity to support WOX users too. I am excited to hear what news will come next week.

Yes, support is important, only it can motivate people to run normal blogs.
The ability to communicate with friends is also important, but external support is not only about money...this includes recognition of the author's personality, social status, and a sense of satisfaction... man is a social being :-))

====================
