How fragile is Democracy: Midterm Election in USA

Hello dear Steemians,

 

I do not know how about yourself, but for us, we observe not only the news in our country or in Europe but these days our attention is drawn to the political situation in USA.

It was like it was not long ago when the President of USA was Trump, despite of being 4 years only he managed to split the nation into two camps pro-Trump and against-him. He is the one who did not accept any news that was against him and his opinion. He labeled CNN as fake news channel and ignored the journalists from that channel, did not answer their questions of press-conferences.

Despite of his own lies he managed to remain a President for the whole 4 years. Luckily, for the election 2020 the majority of US citizen decided to give their voices for Biden and Democratic party.

It was unbelievable that despite of that Trump claimed that the Votes were stolen and actually he won. Like a child he wanted to get what he can’t and as children he then decided to take with force. That was the day when we thought that it was the end of Democracy in USA, 6th of January 22, at least we will never forget.

Capitol Hill is an example how easy it is to manipulate people with lie and to make them to do what such persons like Trump because of their personal benefits want. He did not care about the people there on either side. He just wanted back to the Power.

Since the loss of run for President Trump promised that he will candidate for President 2024 and his preparation has started on the day of his loss. He started then his campaign.

These days is the Midterm Election and looking at the charts we see that Trump and his loyal supporter as well as republicans are strong. The result of election will be announces next couple of days but I fear that if the winner are Democratic party, then Trump and Republicans will not accept it and will again claim that this is again the “Votes were stolen”.

There are only 2 years left till next election, the Trump and Republicans active, continuing regular campaigning, investing so much money in that. The people do not realize that the future depends on today, on our action. Therefore, people should not forget that we have to fight for the Freedom, to go to vote when it is time. Because later on we will sorry that we did not do it and it will be not possible to change it.
